Katie Mencarini
Planner
Katie joined Toole Design Group after working for four years as a community planner for The City of Rockville, Maryland. While with the Rockville Department of Planning, Katie acquired extensive professional experience in development and zoning review, community outreach and meeting facilitation. Previous training in historic preservation complements Katie’s planning perspective by providing additional insight into the value of creating a “sense of place” within communities, which is critical to developing effective plans. Along with her expertise in community planning and historic preservation, Katie’s outgoing personality brings a positive and upbeat energy to Toole Design Group. Katie is a newlywed who enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and spending time with her husband in the out-of-doors. Education/Certification
