Senior Planner
Lucas Cruse has coordinated transportation and land use planning projects in the public and private sectors. With a background in both planning and engineering, he has experience selecting and applying diverse tools ranging from public involvement program and conceptual alternatives development through detailed design. His experience includes bicycle master plans, roadway and trail design, Safe Routes to School plans, development review case management, transit-oriented development studies, bikeways and trails mapping, MPO program coordination, corridor plans, and establishing access to a new National Park Service unit as a former National Park Transportation Scholar.
Lucas views his daily commute via bicycle and MARC train from Baltimore as one of the best parts of his day. He spends his free time with his wife, looking for excuses to travel including seeking out local foods, live music, and all fifty state high points.
