Tom Huber retired from Wisconsin DOT and joined Toole Design Group in 2011. It wasn’t a very quiet retirement – he quickly built a solid presence for the firm in the Midwest, leading bicycle and pedestrian planning and design projects throughout Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota and Kansas, and building a strong team in our Madison office.
This spring, Tom will be stepping down as Office Director and will be working with Toole Design Group half time. We’re calling it his “2.0 Retirement.” Thankfully, we will continue to benefit from his wisdom on key projects in the years to come. The Madison office will be in the capable hands of Kevin Luecke, who has been appointed as Tom’s successor.
We have no doubt that Tom will be spending more time biking and enjoying life with his wife Kathy, his two daughters, and his foster son Gregory.
