TDG led the development of a long-term transformational concept that will address persistent safety, operational and transit access issues and serve as a catalyst for Mount Baker Town Center development. The Accessible Mount Baker (AMB) concept entails eliminating a major intersection and reallocating excess space to inprove transit reliability and pedestrian and bicycle access. It establishes a framework of public spaces to support development of a livable town center. TDG led the analysis and concept development for improving street crossings and accommodating separated bike lanes, connecting to the larger network identified in the City’s bicycle master plan. The concept also reconnects a historic Olmsted Boulevard, utilizing it as a primary spine for biking and walking connections and open space.
