Jennifer Toole founded Toole Design Group after fourteen years of practicing pedestrian and bicycle planning for firms in North Carolina and Maryland. Her goal was to bring together a team of planners, engineers and landscape architects who 1) shared her commitment to producing the highest quality work for each and every client, 2) were committed to building livable communities where it is possible for people of all ages to walk, bicycle, and use transit and 3) shared her enjoyment of working in multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative, yet realistic solutions.

Since the firm's initiation in a small office on Main Street in Laurel, MD, Toole Design Group now has over twenty full time staff and is located in Hyattsville, MD in a transit-oriented development adjacent to the Prince George's Plaza Metro Station. The firm recently opened an office in Boston, MA which expands upon Toole Design Group's current success and growing body of work in New England. The firm's staff includes professional engineers, certified planners, landscape architects, and GIS analysts.
